Menjejak kaki di tanah Laos

This is my first time sitting in the smallest airplane so far. So small and honestly I was scared. Moreover, I sit next to the fan of the engine. The two hour flight was ok, I got to see the scenery since the plane wasn’t flying that high. Oh yeah I saw the biggest lake in Kunming and the Mekong river. Awesome! Haha! I arrived in Laos at 12.25pm and the weather is very comfortable. Hot just like in Brunei.

His mother and sister fetch us at the airport. His father welcomed us when we arrived at the house. I didn’t expect to meet his father so when he got out of the house I was ‘inda tantu arah’. We had lunch together. Luckily his parents can speak English but I didn’t talk a lot. In the afternoon we just had a good rest until the power turned off. Then his sister brought us around the city. The highlight of the sightseeing is THE MEKONG RIVER!

Before we went to dinner, I followed Guo to his grandfather’s house. Seriously they are not the average ppl. His grandfather showed me a gift from Brunei and the gift is so beautiful. His father also received something form our King. After a few mins there, we went to his other grandfather’s house. This grandfather can speak English because before he used to live in the USA for 2 years and work as an army.

For dinner we eat Porsyian Bulgogee. Obviously it’s a Korean restaurant but the dishes are modified according to the local taste. Aku makan ikan yg baratnya 100KG yg kana tangkap di Mekong river. I could see the thickness of the fish skin, very thick. Then we headed out to the house cerita2 until 8.55pm. The unique about this house and the restaurant is that they believe in what the Chinese believe for e.g. Fengshui. From outside to inside of the house, everything is planned according to fengshui.

I think I won’t go to Cambodia. I just know that the first Angkor watt is in Laos. This is more interesting =D Its half finished. Due to the war they move Angkor Watt to Cambodia. His mom asked me to stay until the planned date and she already set up a timetable. This activity includes a trip by plane. That’s it, I won’t spill everything out.

Tomorrow we are going to start visiting places around the city. I just hope the weather is not that hot.

Salam.
