25th Sea Games celebration.(01.02)

Posted on Thursday, February 04, 2010, under

1st February night, I went to a dinner party wearing a very formal cloth. Initially I planned to go to the coffee shop to update this blog. Suddenly we changed planned due to this ceremony. At first I didn’t know what kind of event this is so I asked my friend yg stau gaban, he said this is for his sister who plays golf. Since I know he is just guessing, I asked his father. His father said that this celebration is due to the success of the recent SEA GAMES. He also said that Laos climbed the rank from the last position to the 7th. Wow~ that is a big improvement. I wonder where is my country at…???

In the party, there were dancing and singing. At first I really don’t want to dance but this lady suddenly stood in front of me asking me to dance with her. For the sake of my country’s name I volunteered myself. From that moment on, I was unstoppable! Hah! There were dancing in pair and in group. It was fun to have that opportunity to understand their culture more.

Today I visited two important temples in the morning and suddenly not in the mood in the afternoon. oh I played golf outside the house since they have a mini golf area. I flunk at it.

Ada hot incident! When I was mengayunkan diri di krusi ayun2 atu, suddenly adinya ckp anjingnya lps, den aku liat rupanya yg damit sja so I don’t mind. Sampat lg ku memuji sal ia kiut. Then time durg sbuk2 main golf, durg ani sabut2 nama ‘lulu!’ balik2. Rupanya anjing durg yg basar belusir menuju arah ku! Imagine sja apa reaction ku. Mun hal anjing2 ani yatah masanya aku laju blusir. Siapa yg ada experience yg memalukan atu phm2 aja ok?

Good night.

A trip to Thailand(31.01)

Posted on Thursday, February 04, 2010, under

Ampir! In less than one hour, we arrived in Thailand. Not Bangkok but other part of it which is connection with Laos with a bridge called Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. Just like Belait and Miri. I didn’t know how much should I withdraw. I just took 5000but. I bought a pair of shoes, a pair of sandals, 2 shirts, 2 3 quarter jeans and some ahem2. Most of the money went to ahem2.

Shopping with them made me felt tired. They bought anything that they like. This is my first time shopping since I started my vacation. I’ve more time to shop so I need to control myself. On the 5th and 7th I’m going to the north of Laos. Can’t wait to see the 1st unfinished Angkor Watt.

Today I met 3 children, a girl and his two big bro. They are so clever; I can say they are genius. Her brothers can play keyboard and drum. She is cute, she is 2 years old, she walked, she talked, she’s big and she’s interested in what her brother’s play. What amazed me is that she is still 2 years old! She looked cuter when she sitting on the drum and play. She looked the cutest when she hugged me before she went home. 3 of them aren’t naughty. I could say that their mother really know to educate her children.

Night2. Assalamualaikum.

Perjalanan jauh

Posted on Thursday, February 04, 2010, under

We started our journey in the morning after break1st. The 1st place is Buddha Park. There is a lot of Buddha statue in the compound. Each statue represents a story or something. Have you heard of pisang salai?it taste good but not as good as cucur pisang tho. After burning my skin in the sun, we went to eat Seafood.

The restaurant is beside the river and we ate on a boat. On the boat there is a toilet and TV. You even can karaoke on it! Sadly it’s obvious that this business pollute the river. However, it is a good business. Seriously nyaman mkn ku. This is my first time mkn udang hidup2 and penyangat goreng. The cost of per head is USA$20.

Then we went to visit the new resort, River view resort. The resort is not as big as the name. We also visited their land beside the river and the SEA GAME Stadium. In Laos, they have everything but most of the thing is shared. For example the Sea Game Golf course, it is shared with Korea. The SEA GAME Stadium is with China.

I’ve learned many Laos’s cultures and believe today, even about Buddha. Tomorrow I’m going to accompany my friend to see one of their cultures. Then we are off to Thailand. They also learned something about Islam especially on the Dog and Pig part. I was kind of annoyed when they asked why I’m afraid of dog -__-‘.

Everyday ada2 aja plan. Before I said that I won’t go to Cambodia, but now the possibility that I’m going is quiet high since his mother keep on telling us about this. I might go to Vietnam too. Everything depends on my decision. I hope I don’t go too far.

Salam.

Guo told me he saw something on ma bed last night. There is a big possibility that there was something because it had been months that his room is empty. But I don’t believe him because 1)the light was off 2) the room was dark 3)he only look once 4)he didn’t put his glasses on 5) on this single bed was ME. It’s obvious he’s lying or not sure or thought it was a ghost. I told him that if he saw ‘it’ next time, I asked him to put on his glasses and look more than once. I may sound crazy but that’s what I do if I saw something unusual.

I’m going to meet the ambassador’s spouse next time since his mother told me that the ambassador’s spouse is so excited to meet me. Gue juga excited dech. Hehehe. If ada kesempatan jumpa sluruh org Brunei d sni.

Since yesterday, I’ve eaten so many interesting stuff for e.g. talur samut merah, this fruit (I don’t know that name), 100kg fish and Vietnamese food. The rule of on the dining table is EAT A LOT! Before, Guo was the one eat most of the food, but now I’m the one who eat the most. It was crazy!!!! Mcm kana kauti sja. Ani paksa kuruskan bdn next sems! I feel heavy already. Hehehehe.

After dinner, we had a karaoke session. I wasn’t holding the mic until his father got into the room. Since that moment, his father taught me how to feel a song {-_-} . I couldn’t put the mic down or stop singing because his father keeps on asking me to sing, try, stand up and move. Lagu yg kana pasang ani lg era lagu “yesterday” and MLTR. Huh.

During this full moon day I visited two places: Pitusay and Har long.

Menjejak kaki di tanah Laos

Posted on Thursday, February 04, 2010, under

This is my first time sitting in the smallest airplane so far. So small and honestly I was scared. Moreover, I sit next to the fan of the engine. The two hour flight was ok, I got to see the scenery since the plane wasn’t flying that high. Oh yeah I saw the biggest lake in Kunming and the Mekong river. Awesome! Haha! I arrived in Laos at 12.25pm and the weather is very comfortable. Hot just like in Brunei.

His mother and sister fetch us at the airport. His father welcomed us when we arrived at the house. I didn’t expect to meet his father so when he got out of the house I was ‘inda tantu arah’. We had lunch together. Luckily his parents can speak English but I didn’t talk a lot. In the afternoon we just had a good rest until the power turned off. Then his sister brought us around the city. The highlight of the sightseeing is THE MEKONG RIVER!

Before we went to dinner, I followed Guo to his grandfather’s house. Seriously they are not the average ppl. His grandfather showed me a gift from Brunei and the gift is so beautiful. His father also received something form our King. After a few mins there, we went to his other grandfather’s house. This grandfather can speak English because before he used to live in the USA for 2 years and work as an army.

For dinner we eat Porsyian Bulgogee. Obviously it’s a Korean restaurant but the dishes are modified according to the local taste. Aku makan ikan yg baratnya 100KG yg kana tangkap di Mekong river. I could see the thickness of the fish skin, very thick. Then we headed out to the house cerita2 until 8.55pm. The unique about this house and the restaurant is that they believe in what the Chinese believe for e.g. Fengshui. From outside to inside of the house, everything is planned according to fengshui.

I think I won’t go to Cambodia. I just know that the first Angkor watt is in Laos. This is more interesting =D Its half finished. Due to the war they move Angkor Watt to Cambodia. His mom asked me to stay until the planned date and she already set up a timetable. This activity includes a trip by plane. That’s it, I won’t spill everything out.

Tomorrow we are going to start visiting places around the city. I just hope the weather is not that hot.

Salam.
